I've always found it good practice to put blocks under the trailer ramps to support them where they are hinged to the trailer. The supports on both my trailers are not long enough to reach the ground without blocks under them. I also always chock the trailer wheels when loading and unloading. I do this even with my heavy duty 14,000 lb goose neck. Finally, with a 7,000 lb capacity trailer, you are borderline with a C plus a bush hog, maybe even over loaded. Depends if you have loaded tires and wheel weights. The 7000 lbs includes the trailer weight. The lighter weight trailers that are made with angle iron and side rails (which are part of the structuraly support) are not really suitable for hauling heavy tractors. You need one with a channel iron or I beam frame.
