I hope you guys dont bother me putting a lot of questions here.

Some people say leaving a tractor without a muffler or pipe on the manifold it will burn the valves up from not cooling. Others say different. But how come the Farmalls were sold factory WITHOUT muffler or pipe? Thats what my book says.
I'm trying to figure this out.
