I wonder what some of these repair shops do when they run into a real problem? :-( Maybe you could take a few minutes to make up a test plug so they don't have to. It will save you some money and result in a better job. The one I use is a simple piece of Formica covered plywood countertop cut to size and all the necessary holes drilled for bolts. The key is...cut several gaskets (I use 3 cork ones, but inner tube would work) to be thick enough to give room for the tube ends. It sure is nice to repair a radiator and be sure it won't leak before it is re-assembled. I test with very low pressure air (one or two pounds) and soap bubbles. The reason...if there is still a leak after testing, there isn't a lot of mess to deal with for another attempt. George Willer
