Listen to him about draining every fall and spring to get rid of the water. We were plowing snow on our driveway a couple winters ago and the old Super C died. It would only run for a few seconds and quit. We pulled it into the barn and started checking the obvious things. In the end, we dumped out about a 1 1/2" thick block of brown ice out of the bowl. We hadn't cleaned the thing out for quite a while. After that it started right up and went back to work. We cleaned it out very regularly after that....
