1st year of the Super H is 1953. Quick spotting differences: Disc brakes, small I-H emblem (not larger "Farmall" emblem) on grille, Y or Z last character in most casting date codes, "C-164" cast in upper right rear of engine block. Later Super H's are equipped with live (engine mounted) hydraulic pumps. However the 1st 19,000 or so Super H's were built with belly pump hydraulics, same as the regular H.

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
