Your Cub is a 1962. The first ones weren't built until 1947. Your 1962 should have metal emblems on the hood rather than decals. A search of the archives here and on ATIS will turn up a lot of information on the conversion. This has been a very popular subject. It should be an easy conversion using most any one wire alternator. Please design the mounting bracket and choose a belt length that won't require cutting the hood. In case you want to burn your bridges so you can't go back to 6 volt, I'd like to have the old generator...I need one for parts. George Willer
