Super A Hydrolics Question

I have never noticed this before, but this evening when I put my Super A in for the night, the hydrolic lever that works the rear hydrolics has about an inch play in it. I mean, I can move the lever about an inch with no reaction from the hydrolics. It appears loose. The hydrolics work fine when I go ahead and lower and raise them, but the play is still there. Is this a problem? Thanks for any help.
