I'll have to agree with the others. Dad has a '49 model that came with his house in 1962 and has always ran out the overflow when filled to the top, until it reaches a level where it is satisfied. It has the original unpressurized radiator cap also. Just one of the many joys of owning a wonderful antique!!!
