Replaced a pitted cylinder sleeve on a Super "C" with a used sleeve I mail ordered. Before the final "buckle back up", I filled the radiator. Water poured out the bottom of the sleeve where the sleeve should have seated into the lower engine block. I now see that there is a huge gap all around the replaced sleeve. Obviously, this sleeve does not go into my block, even though it is the proper bore and proper top dimensions. Anyone know what the deal here is? Did the Super have several different sleeve outside lower diameters?
