41 M front rims

I have two different front rims on my 41 M, one having mounting brackets(U shaped)welded to the rim for the center and the other bolting right to the rim. Which is correct for this year tractor? I am guessing the latter because it has more dings in it. It needs to be replaced so I figure I will be anal and get the correct rims for it.

I can post a pic if this doesn't make sense.
