Don't want to burst your bubble, but there are all kinds of companies out there that will provide commercial hydraulic power units. This technology is old (eg. Char Lynn provided power units 50 years ago). For something current look at robotic computer driven machines that use pressure and flow compensated power packs to accomplish complicated tasks. For example, have you looked at the European made LELY robotic milking machines. Yes I mean you don't have to be there when the cows are being milked. They have been sold in Europe for several years and are now being imported into North America. I suspect they may be at the Farm Progress Show in Indiana. There are other examples such as the computer driven functions on combines, cotton pickers, sely propelled sprayers etc. Some aspect of computerized robotics would be a challenging senior ag engineering project.
