So far I have converted 3 or 4 Hs and Ms to 12 volt. I simply take the 6 volt generator to a good alternator shop and have it converted to 12 volt. The rebuild and a Delco Remy 12 volt voltage regulator will cost around $130. This way you have the 12 volt capability but the looks of the 6 volt system.
