Don, I had the same problem with mine. It turned out to be the pinion gear that drives the bull gear in the final drive.It had a tooth missing. It wasn't really missing, it was in the bottom of the bull gear pan. I just replaced the pinion gear/shaft and all was well. When I talked to the guy at the bone yard I found out that this was not unusual. Good luck.
