Paul......I grew up on a farm with a herd of brothers and sisters and dad watched the weather religously.....and I don't remember only but a hand full of times that the hay was rained on the whole time I was gowing up....!!...and dad was one of the first farmers in our area to have a self-prop. combine(Gleaner/8 ft head..& 2 row corn head)and if you think that didn't break down alot your wrong..!!!.....and I remember baling on Sun after church and after school...same with combining....no day was special to my dad....so what I'm saying.......farming is a carp shoot....you got to watch the signs closer and do alot of preventive maint. on older farm equip........lol......

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
