Do you mean taking out the old engine and putting a new in? That is the only way to go, and it is rather simple. The diesel is about 20 or 30 cids smaller, but only about 1 or 2 hp difference. Effiecent too. But there is no way if you were considering taking a gas engine and converting it to diesel. But just replacing is okay, as long as you have the tools and the time, that's all it needs.
