Mike, if your original mag was shot the rebuild off of the Minnie should light you up. You could have it out of whack. Your number 1 cylinder should be top dead center and your mag should be ready to fire at the #1 spot. Once the tractor fires you can adjust the advance by turning the mag in or out on its pivot bolt. There is nothing else that will prevent spark from the mag provided you have checked your rotor cap and rotor and point breaker. Test your wires for spark, there should be some somewhere and you'll know the mag is working. If there is good spark you need to check the wires to make sure they come off the rotor cap in the correct order. I have an M with a mag and I've had it off once. All the guy did was run emery cloth over the points and the mag threw fire like blue lightning. He rubbed and rubbed untill I thought he would wear them away and the thing was like new. I have to buy him a beer at the next show I see him at!!! That's all it cost
