Kenneth, I found a shock absorber about the size of the original and put it on my H. My problem is not the absorber but the spring in the seat. I believe over time it has weakened and the whole assembly does not afford a comfortable ride. I was at my favourite tractor wreckers one day and I noticed he had a pipe seat assembly with a perfectly good seat attached, the material on the seat is like new. The story was that a customer wanted to trade the seat and assembly for some other parts. Since he hadn't made a deal it wasn't his seat to sell. The next week when I went it was mine for $40 and the seat alone is worth that. My problem of spring and shock is solved, they're coming off and the freshly painted pipe seat assembly is going back on when I get the paint work completed. I do believe that the spring is the culprit in my application. Good luck from Mike in Exeter Ontario

The answer to our needs materialized in the form of a '44 Farmall A, complete with cultivators, discs, single plow, a 5ft.Woods belly mower and one, mounted spare 9.00x24 rear wheel.
