Aftermarket Front Ends

I recently purchased a 400 with an adjustable wide front end. The right side spindle and bearings are shot. Others told me that the front end was OEM. After purchasing a replacement spindle, It is evident that, while it looks very similar, it has to be an aftermarket front end. I have heard that aftermarket manufacturers where M & W and Schwartz.

My questions are: 1) Are there other possible manufacturers? 2)How do I ID the manufacturer? 3) Are they still in business? and finally, 4) How would I contact the company(s)?
