cub trans-rear

I have a 184 lowboy that has a lot of gear noise in 1st& reverse,I have a few cub cadets for parts and have allways heard they share the same trans-rearend as the cubs.Does anyone know if I can use the cadet rear in the lowboy or are the gear ratios to different.One of my cadet doners is a hydro that I have been thinking about how to use.
