Jon, There were a lot of these little power plants used in small combines and balers. The ones with the clutch I 'think' were used on combines. The ones on balers had a right angle flat belt drive without a clutch. Some of the earlier combines and balers used a similiar unit with a Continental engine, causing some to think early Cubs were Continental powered. I just checked the engine numbers again because I knew at least one of my Cubs had a baler engine...I found two. They can be identified by the engine number. The power units have the serial number prefix IMCUBM, and the tractor prefix is FCUBM. They may have other minor internal differences, but what you need to know is that the flywheel and fan hub are different. The correct tractor parts will bolt right up. You may have to add a throwout bearing. George Willer
