You don't need a 3-point. Drag brush hogs and drag discs are usually cheaper than 3-point. In fact a drag 9 ft disc is about what you want for your M. In Oklahoma you can usually pick up a well worn one for $200.

They do take longer to turn around, and you do have to back the brush hog into corners.

However, knowing you don't NEED a 3-point, you may still want one. I farm full time with M's and an H and have no 3-point equipment.
