Grinding and clicking noise on Cub?

Bought a Cub today. The first Cub I ever drove. It is a 1961 model from the serial number. When driving it around in the yard, there is a clicking noise coming from the hydraulics wherever the control lever is positioned. The tractor also has a grinding noise in the transmission or rearend, in all gears. If the tractor is coasting out of gear the grinding noise stops. Is this all normal? What is going on here? Will someone please advise? By the way, I like the tractor. Thanks, Denver
