William, this sounds like the problem I had with a model C Farmall, trying to plow in something higher than first. It was a two bottom plow, but the model C should have taken it in second. The problem was fuel delivery. The dirt from the tank would not let enough gas flow, so I had to take a wire and clean out where the sediment bowl attaches to the bottlm of the tank, until the fuel flowed freely. Then she took the plow in second with power to spare. Try cleaning out the place where the sediment bowl fits into the tank. Hopethis helps. ---===] jer [===---
