Thanks for the reply Mike, and yes, get me a stone as we discussed. I have heard that down in Amish and Mennonite country they still make grinding stones of all shapes and sizes and they are available for these sickle mower sharpeners, however I don't have the source ie. town, store, company

Memories of an IH Super A When I was ? up to 10, I worked on my Papaw's farm in Greeneville, TN every summer. As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor.
