the mag was standard sometimes when the coil on the mag went bad they would put a seperate coil and run the lead to the kill screw on the side of the mag and the other terminal of the coil went to 6v neg side of the battery thru a sw on the steering post this sw had two terminals that turned the batt voltage of and on you can still get a coil for the mag and be back to original they run about 50 this is apparently the way yours is wired you can check to see and we will go from there glad to help gene b
