Muffler vs. straight pipe: Thank you!

Thanks to all of you who responded to my question about using a muffler vs. straight pipe.
First of all, I compared running the tractor with
the muffler and then the pipe, and it ran equally
well with both. It is definitely LOUD with the
pipe. About half of you said that your hearing
should be of some value, and since I have some
hearing problems already, I will stick to the muffler, even tho' I like looks of the pipe better. Thanks again for all your input.
