If you are having good luck I would not change oils. I have ran SAE 30 in my 706 gas with no problems. This spring I changed to 15-40. Bad results .... fouls plugs and drinks oil. I just hope I can get back to where I was. I have drained the 15-40 and put 30 weight back. Just my experience. The 15-40 oils are probably loaded with detergents ... it will clean your engine up .... do you want that???? May reduce oil pressure and compression. Just my thoughts. Some say the 15-40 may be thinner than a straight weight 30 oil???
