How do you install the #%!!$* felt crank seals in a Farmall B?

I am in the process of assembling a 113 cid Farmall B engine and I need to know how to install the felt crank seals and the cylindrical felt block seals. The IT manual gives directions on how to install the "new" rubber seals but not the felt. The gasket set is genuine IH so I assume if it contains felt seals they must be best. Any help would be appreciated.
