I think it is great the way everyone helps each other out on this board. Sorry, I dont own any RED tractors but I'm sure someone can help me. I'm trying to help an older gent get his 1930 10-20 running. The tractor was parked inside about 10 years ago but the gas was not drained. Cleaned the tank & sediment bowl and all the other little stuff but when we put gas to the carb, it "flooded". We assume the float is either stuck down from the evaporation of the gas or it is just plain not floating to shut off the needle. My question is: How do you take it apart? I can see where the base mounts to the block but how do the 2 upper chambers come off? Where the base meets the bowl it is loose and a small thread of packing is coming out. Pictures or diagrams or ANY help would be apreciated. Thanks in advance. You may E-mail me direct if that would be easier at oleblu80@hotmail.com
