The IH 424, 444, etc. built in the 60s had an electric fuel pump. You can likely get one of those from IH and adapt it to your 300U. On the gas 424 the pump was mounted on the tractor under the tank.

Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
