Sue it sounds like you have a dry bearing. There are two grease fittings. One is on the base of the water pump near the engine block. The other one is on the rotating hub just behind one of the fan blades. Grease them until you get back pressure. It takes quite a bit of grease to fill the hub area containing the two bearings.
