The rod bearings are standard and are marked with the IH logo so I'm thinking this engine was never overhauled. Someone had the rod caps off at one time and there are some hammer marks on the rods where some one must have beat on them to unstick it. I know it had to have been stuck due to the heavy pitting in the cylinders.
