Yes, Hy-tran will mix with water, and not seperate, at least not as fast as other hydraulic-transmission oils. That was one of their selling points, the water would not set at the bottom and freeze up in the oil pickup tube. Dealer told dad when he bought his 350 that it should be changed every year or so, mosly because of the moisture buildup. Better for the TA also. Water seems to get in those transmissions around the gearshift levers. I don't know if a person can make a rubber skirt to keep it out or not.
