Tim with it idling, pull out the choke slightly and see if it smooths out. If it does, I would suspect an air leak where the carburetor bolts to the manifold, the manifold itself, or where it bolts to the block.

If that doesn't seem to be the culprit, I would troubleshoot the timing. At idle retard the timing just a tad and see if it smooths out.
