You have an earlier version than your manual shows. Those parts will destroy each other if allowed to slop around. Notice that there is a left and a right arm. The difference is where the hole for the setscrew is. Consider this...drill and tap the other holes and add a second setscrew to each arm. It should become much more secure, even though not politically correct. I'll bet you will enjoy the ride more if you eliminate this play.
