Matt: All respondents so far have offered some valid points. The wobble, for certain, has to be result of wear to gears, bearings, bushings, and even the bolster shaft itself. Check out the underside of the top gear box cover to determine whether the main thrust bearing and spacers have worn sufficient to let the shaft move up cutting the under side of the cover. If such is the case, no doubt the boss on bottom of bolster casting has also cut into the top side of bolster shaft plate to which bottom bolster attaches. "TU"
