300U pressure plate

While working with my 300 i went to back up only to find i couldn't stop by depressing the clutch and nearly hitting a fence before turning off the engine. After taking off the inspection plate i found the fingers on the p plate were not releasing,took the tractor apart tonight and everything looked normal except the splines in the pp no broken springs. Measurments in my manual seem right also have a trans. oil leak ,how hard to fix and what is a Rockford clutch? Also the main shafthas some slack and seems to be hitting the crankshaft any help appreciated.
