Strictly speaking, Jon, the mag you have is not for the diesel "pony motor", but is for an IHC diesel that starts on gas and then switches to diesel (for example, the MD). A perhaps litle known piece of trivia is that it looks just like the mag on the M, but the rotation is backward; you're not the first to be confused by this.
