I agree with Michael Soldan, the points would likely burn before anything else happened. It shouldn't hurt the condensor at all, but the coil is not meant to have a 100% duty cycle. Check it for continuity, if that's OK it should be all right, but as Mike rightly points out, it's likely that the battery would be dead before it was hurt.
