Gary: Same as now. To improve sales just add a couple horse and call it a "SUPER". Now how can buyers resist a "Super" model.. After WW2 sales were swamped with buy orders but by the early '50's sales needed a little hype. The 400-450 and then 6 cyl 460-560 series lasted only a few years. Sales of 1950's cars & trucks changed quickly during those years whereas the WW2 years nothing changed(for good reason)..I enjoyed the changes and looked forward to the newer items each Fall in cars and tractors..I remember helping demo the new TA's at a plowing demo. Some farmers weren't sure they liked fast shifting the first time but it worked out. Ralph
