Since the Super M is 450 long miles away from my apartment I don't get the chance to run up and check on it as often as I'd like. Thus the 6v battery tends to be a bit on the run down side when I get up there. While its no big deal to pull the battery and take it into town to Granny's to charge I thought there ought be a better way, but with no power out at the farm I needed to ponder. Now I've been researching solar power a bit lately and it looks like for less than $200 I'll be able to set up a system with a solar panel and a charge controller that should be able to fully charge the 6v battery in about a day. Naturally that would be with good sun, but keeping a battery charged, or bringing a slightly discharged one back to life should be no great issue. If theres any amount of interest in this project I'll make sure to take pictures and make a webpage as the project progresses.
