as usual, thanks a million for the pictures and ditto the others on 'will be usefull' for a couple in my barn too. You mentioned the pivot shaft riding too high in the bolster. Did this front end clank when the front end bounced on a bump or had a heavy load on the rear? My late '53 SH had a loader all it's life and has these symptoms now that I pulled the loader off. My SM isn't too bad but sice I just did PS and a loader on it, I thought it might be a good preventative measure.
