All the parts are available new from IH. The bearings and seals and bushings aren't too expensive and you can also get them from any good bearing distributor. The worst case is the worm or sector shaft or sector shaft gear being damaged, but these are pretty tough so there probably ok. I replaced my sector shaft to stop it from leaking, it was pitted up from rust so bad it wouldn't seal. It was over $100.00. You will have to take it apart and see what's wrong, but I would go ahead and change all the seals, bushing and bearings while I had it apart. Good Luck.

P.S. A used box probably won't be any better than yours.
