My best M has just developed a sloppyness to the steering that is disconcerting! Especially in 5th gear. There is play in (1)the shaft to power steering unit, (2) in the power steering unit (3) between power steering unit and worm gear, and (4) steering arm and tie rods of WFE. So how much play is ok? Because the problem came on fast I suspect the power steering unit is in need of a rebuild? What are the symptons? Doesn't appear to leak. I suspect that it is a Charylin (sp) It is under the hood. Anybody know of a professional rebuild service? Can a semi-skilled guy install a kit? Located in western Iowa. Would really appreciate any and all assistance. Need the tractor to make a 40 mile round trip to pick up a newly purchased Allis Challerms All Crop 60 combine-brand new! Thanks Dick
