I have used paint stripper in the tank, pour in a qt. and shake it around then let it set awhile then shake it a time or two again and let it set, then wash the whole mess out.It works good for me, \ Also I have used Lacquer thinner with the nut and a six pack trick, put the lacquer thinner in the tank W/ol' nuts or small bolts or what have you and shake drink a brew and shake some more repeat till you are tanked,er the tank is cleen and you don't care( actually leave the thinner in there sometimes a day or two shaking it when ever you think of it. This works equally well. Oh if you have a screen in the tank, take it out as all the shaking and nuts will ruin it.
