For starters, I can't answer your question. But I am in the process of tapping into the hydraulic pipes leading from the pump to the hydraulic holding tank on my Farmall C. I plan on using a hydraulic log splitter too. With a 5/8 dia. pipe, I should have the volumn to fill the ram real quick. I'm be using compression tees that I'm buying at the local hyd. hose place. If you are interested in going this route, I can give you the number of the place to get them.....Isn't a 504 a little overkill for splitting firewood?
