Oil flow to governer area

I have a 1941 farmall A. I am replacing the front seals and it looks like it got a little warm around the gears at some time or other .where does the oil come from to oil the timing gears andgoverner gears? i think i found a hole to the right side of the governer that a wire will go throu to somewherebabk in the engine. any help would be appreciated. wayne
