cs: I would not use regular plugs. The engineers at IHC were fairly smart people and they had good reasons for about everything they designed back then. Keep them clean and with proper gap. By the way,on startup when switching from gas to diesel, snap back the run-on-gas lever and then quickly open diesel(rather then opening diesel first). This does not produce much smoke at all and helps keep plugs cleaner. ralph
