I had a copy of the manual around here some place, even scanned it in and emailed it to some folks, but locating at the moment may prove interesting. M&W Gear is still in business up in IL. They do not support the clutch any longer, unless they happen to have any NOS pieces laying around (several years ago when I checked, pickings were slim). Employee named Dale Bielsfelt was familiar with them and would photo copy a manual for you if you asked. If you remove the side cover on the clutch assy, there is a castle nut in the center with metal tabs bent over from behind to hold it still. Bend the tabs back out and tighten the nut to stop your slipping. The manual says to set it so that there is 25-40 lbs of pressure required to operate the hand control. Since my arm isn't calibratted that well ;) I just set it to stop slipping. This will work if the assy is just getting loose, but with mine the main problem when I bought it was that the fibre discs had all the teeth chewed off the out side and needed to be replaced. Inside you'll find a sandwich of metal and fibre plates, the metal ones have teeth on the inside, the fibre discs are shaped like donuts with teeth around the outside. Good luck, If I find the old phone number or a copy of the scanned man pages I will get back to you. Stan(VA).

We needed a TRACTOR; not a riding mower or tractor wannabe, but a real TRACTOR. The answer to our needs materialized in the form of a '44 Farmall A, complete with cultivators, discs, single plow, a 5ft.Woods belly mower and one, mounted spare 9.00x24 rear wheel.
