I,ve been having a similar problem with a 350 utility. It will start nearly instantly all the time even after stalling out though. I've cleaned and rechecked the carb 3 times and have cleaned the tank filters and bowl. still wasn't the answer. I even attempted to prolong the running of the engine by removing the air hose to the carb and when it started to die out spray in ether to see if it would stay running, it still died. I then started to suspect the ignition, I checked the points and they seemed worn so I have bought new points, condenser, cap and rotor. I'll install in the morning. I haven't bought a coil yet,may in the morning also. I'll write if the problem on mine is corrected by this. I know if the condenser or coil gets overheated it will cause similar running problems. it's worth checking and is about $20 for the parts at the parts store.
